September 08, 2008 -- Darina Dicheva and Christo Dichev's paper entitled "Integrating Metadata Harvesting with Semantic Search" was accepted for the 2008 IEEE/WIC/ACM Web Intelligence Confererence.

June 24, 2008 -- The Sixth International Workshop on Applications of Semantic Web Technologies for E-Learning (SWEL'08) took place in conjunction with the 9th International Conference on Intelligent Tutoring Systems, Montreal, Canada, June 23-27, 2008.
June 23, 2008 -- Darina Dicheva (WSSU) and Vania Dimitrova (University of Leeds, UK) presented a full-day tutorial on Semantic Web and Intelligent Learning Environments at the 20th Int'l Conference on Intelligent Tutoring Systems in Monreal, Canada, July 23, 2008. ITS is a premium conference in the advanced learning technology field.
