The Certificate in Computer Programming is designed for those wishing to make a career change to become computer programmers or computer applications developers. The certificate program is open only to individuals who have earned the BS or BA degree (in any field). The program is designed with scheduling flexibility to accommodate the needs of working adults.

CSC 3360 Fundamentals of Programming year 1 - Fall CSC 3361 Intermediate Programming year 1 - Spring To continue in the Certificate program, students must pass CSC 3360 and CSC 3361 with an average grade of "B" or better, and pass a programming proficiency examination. The student must complete the following courses with a grade of "C" or better. CSC 3370 Fundamentals of Internet Systems year 2 - Fall CSC 3371 Applied Data Structures year 2 - Fall CSC 3373 Web Programming year 2 - Spring CSC 3374 File Management with JCL year 2 - SpringCAREER OPPORTUNITIES:
Students completing this program will be qualified as entry-level programmers(C++, Java, web programming, etc.), computer applications specialists, and will also satisfy minimum requirements for admission to graduate programs in computer science.
