PROGRAM
MISSION
The
information technology program provides a high quality applications-oriented
undergraduate education in computer information technology as a preparation for
productive employment or graduate education.
STUDENT
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon successful completion of the information
technology program, students will:
1.
Exhibit proficiency in the design and development of computer programs
and software systems.
2.
Exhibit proficiency in the application of digital circuits, networking,
operating systems and computer architecture principles.
3.
Exhibit proficiency in the application of computer software, hardware,
related technologies, procedures, and theories to problem solving.
4.
Show evidence of having achieved WSSU Educational Goals.

information technology majors earn a total of at least 122 semester hours of
